PRAYER PAGE August 18, 2005 First Baptist church is a House of Prayer for all people. We are a people that will pray for those who are dedicated to the Great Commission and doing good to all, especially those of the “household of faith”. Our prayer strategy is to pray for a spiritual awakening, pray for this church, pray for your family, and pray for those in authority (church and government leaders). This week we will pray for a spiritual awakening with the following thoughts in our prayers. 1. Ask God for a spirit of humble repentance throughout Christ’s body. (2 Chronicles 7:14) 2. Ask God for a spirit of hunger for righteousness. (Jer. 29:13) 3. Ask God for a spirit of helpful generosity. (Isaiah 58:10-12) 4. Ask God for a spirit of holy unity throughout the body of Christ. (John 17:20, 21) Remember - “…He is faithful that promised.” (Hebrews 10:23)
