She never existed before. The woman existed, but the Mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.   HELP WANTED Someone who will work long hours in a private home for low wages…or none at all. The applicant is expected to place the needs of every other occupant of the home before hers. Duties will consist of planning, cooking, and serving three meals a day with occasional refreshments and bedtime snacks on the side. Washing Dishes, making beds, cleaning and doing the laundry are expected as often as needed. There will be no days off, few vacations, no sick pay and little recognition, thanks or reward.
